At Chiesi, we research, develop and market innovative drugs in three specific areas: AIR (products and services in the respiratory field, from infants to adults), RARE (innovative solutions and personalized services to improve the quality of life of patients with rare and ultra-rare diseases) and CARE (products and services to support specialist care, personal care and well-being).

We are committed to serving patients with therapeutic solutions that improve their health and quality of life, so that they can live as part of a community, undefined by their disease. We want to do this while also delivering shared value for the communities we operate in, for society, and for the planet.

We research, develop, and market innovative products and solutions in three main therapeutic areas: Air, Rare, and Care.

Air encompasses products and services that enable the treatment of respiratory pathologies among patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.

Air includes a portfolio of products and services related to the act of breathing, and the quality of air we breathe. The current range of respiratory drugs falls under the Air brand pillar, as do neonatal products, as they are also focused on the respiratory system.

Rare focuses on the treatment of patients living with rare or ultra-rare diseases.

Launched in February 2020, the Chiesi Global Rare Diseases, a new business unit focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders.
We commercialise treatments for alpha-mannosidosis, Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy, nephropathic cystinosis in select markets outside the U.S. The company is also building and advancing a pipeline of innovative therapies for the treatment of LSDs and other rare diseases

Care combines products and services that support special care provided by medical professionals, as well asconsumer-facing self-care.

Special Care includes products provided and administered to patients by medical professionals to treat their specific, chronic conditions and Consumer Care encompasses healthcare products sold directly to the consumer.
