Our Manufacturing team is composed of more than 1000 people around the world, managing really complex activities, including:

- Lead global Quality assurance system definition and development
- Monitor quality level achieved by plants and affiliates
- Support R&D team to improve existing products
- Corporate engineering
- Lead and coordinate investments on equipment and buildings for all Chiesi properties (plants, office facilities)
- Provide guidelines to plants and office facilities to evaluate, install and maintain equipment buildings and utilities
- Coordinate cyber-security and plant automation
Looking to the future
In 2022, Chiesi Group started working on the creation of a center of excellence for the development and production of biological drugs. The Biotech Center of Excellence will be based in Parma and will be operational in 2024. It will attract talent and technical competences in order to develop know-how that will take care of all production steps, from cells to the finished drug, to packaging for the global market
