Pipeline
Our pipeline encompasses all medical solutions and treatments that have not reached the market yet. We work on both promising studies with the potential for important breakthroughs, and practical solutions for patients suffering from diseases with unmet therapeutic needs.
Biotech
Biotechnology, or biotech for short, is one of our new areas of research and expertise complementing our three historical therapeutical areas Air, Rare, and Care.
That’s why we have invested 85 million euros in its Biotech Center of Excellence in Parma, Italy. Once operational, this center will focus on the development, production, and distribution of biological products, and it will employ over 100 highly qualified individuals.
Manufacturing
At Chiesi, we use an innovative system based on the use of management tools and systems, with the aim of increasing our efficiency and flexibility.
We care about the safety of our products but also of our workers, which is why we have created the Behavior-Based project to encourage safe behavior on our manufacturing sites.
Digital Health
Digital Health refers to the use of information and communications technologies in medicine and other health professions to manage illnesses and health risks and to promote wellness. Although it has many advantages such as reducing inefficiencies and costs, increasing quality, and making medicine more personalized for patients, Digital Health concerns have begun to rise as patients wonder who can access their data and how it is being used.
